The Perks of Being A Wallflower

both movie and novel are fantastic. absolute masterpiece.

I found out the trailer of the movie long time ago, and people in the comment section said that the novel is superb. I really like the trailer until it made me tear-up. so I decided to read the book before I watch the movie. I was depressed because the bookstores in Jakarta didn't have them(now they have). so I read the ebook version. but in the end I bought it online. so my novel is from Sydney. I screamed like crazy when the book finally arrived at my house.

so here's the synopsis.

it's about a teen boy named Charlie who enter the high school. he wants to "participate", like trying to make friends, going to party, etc etc. he has some kind of mental illness because he has a bad memories about his aunt Helen. he become socially awkward and rarely make friends, and in the novel her sister calls him freak.  sadly in his first day at school he only make friend with his English teacher. luckily, he meets Sam and Patrick, step-bro and sis who are really nice to Charlie since the very start they met. around them, Charlie feels comfortable and can talk many think. it's because Sam and Patrick knowledge him as their friend, or maybe best friend.

with Sam and Patrick, Charlie experience many think that he never experienced before. like partying, dating, performing in the theater, taking some kind of drugs. he's participating.

so that is the synopsis, I know that I didn't really good at making synopsis.

so anyway, I really love the novel and also the movie. the novel was so beautifully written with those poetry words. and the movie is absolutely amazing.

when I read the novel, I already know the cast for the movie. so when I read the novel I pictured them in my imagination and they are perfect. it means my imagination meets the author imagination hahaha.

they are the perfect actors to play the characters. especially the three lead characters.

omg Logan Lerman plays Charlie is the most perfect thing in the world. it's not about his looks, but Lerman plays it perfect like how awkward Charlie is. the most incredible performance of Charlie is when Sam goes to college. his panicked acting is amazing. it is impossible to not want to hug him for the entire movie. I'd love to have a little brother like him.

and for Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, they are the definition of perfection. I really love Patrick character personally, he is really funny and eccentric, despite the fact that he is gay and have a sad experience. he's charming you know. and Sam, I know definitely know why Charlie falls for her. she's beautiful(Emma all the way!), she's smart, I mean the way she talk is really smart I don't know why, she's funny but also really mature. she's the only one who can make Charlie calm I think.

I also Nina Dobrev plays as Candace, Charlie's sister. too bad the pregnant scene in the novel isn't in the movie too.

to conclude, this movie/novel are really really great.

I really want to use this movie/novel as my thesis. it's tie between Juno btw hahaha.

you guys should read or watch it! worth your time!

ENGLICIOUS CARECOUSTIC 2012!!! you should know I haven't made the financial report until now!!!! yes I was the treasurer for this event, along with Gevin. idk when  I can make it.

PSA&MABIM oh i loooooove this event just because my job was really easy. and I got to work with my bf. we sometimes hanged out when people were working hahahaha.

Roadshow team Bogor for Bedah Kampus 13. it was an amazing experience. that was the very first time I did public speaking. although it was kinda terrible. well, experience :)

Preparing OLIMBUD all along the holiday. it was intense, because I never became the event division, and suddenly I became the coordinator. I had to make technical meetings, making the list of performers, rundown, guest star, the judges. ooohhhhh God it was hard, seriously!

I lost my grand mother in August 17th :") this year, the very first year my family spent the lebaran day without nenek :(

Gathering BIGBANG, I helped my best friend to make an event for Big Bang :)

the d-day of OLIMBUD. the most intense 3 days in my whole history of becoming a crew of some events. the sweat, the fast heart beat, running, backstage, sound room, the crowd, the cheers, the people of FIB :)

SMTOWN CONCERT!!!! oh my gooooood, I'm speechless. cannot say anything about this one :')

I tried to become a volunteer in event outside my college, it was Europe On Screen. I've been through a CV test, and two interviews. and I got in :) big thanks for my bf for accompany me when I did my interview in jakarta

SOLOOOOOO that was the second time I went travelling with my college friends! good times <3

take a little part in Teater Sastra, Musuh Masyarakat. I helped them a lil bit, became the make-up artist and usher for a night. plus, my bf was also there, became the photographer. yeah you know, sneaking for dating times there :p

working on Europe on Screen, which was not so good

shopping all night long with my bf in Jak Cloth. you know, tito needed 2 hours to buy 3 clothes. meanwhile I only need 5 minutes to buy 2 clothes. boys.

helped my junior to prepare Petang Kreatif, and the d-day of Petang Kreatif. and we got the 3rd place babyyyy! it's such an honor to help and know them better. my new member of family :)

that was the events that I had in 2012. but I want to thank a bunch of other things

my subjects in college which helped me to learn many new things, started from doing presentation and public speaking on my own, making dozens of essays and journals which burdening so much but it educated me so much. trying to learn many new language, Italian, Korean, and Spanish. having such funny friends in my Korean course. it make me realize how much I love Korean. meeting new people because my participation in many events. trying new things with friends. bunch of movies I watch in 2012, but the most memorable are The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Juno, Life of Pi, 5cm, Test Pack, Breaking Dawn 2, etc.(I can't remember all of my favorite). the best korean drama that I watched, Rooftop Prince, Big, and Nice Guy. 

I think 2012 is the most productive year I've ever had. I have so many new experiences in this year. knowing that many people in my twitter timeline saying that their 2012 was boring and flat, I'm glad that mine doesn't.

If I have to choose which one is the most memorable, and I will not forget it until the end of my life, I think it's the moment when I lost my grand mother. I still remember when the night of 2012 new year, all of my family, including nenek, watching fireworks together in front of our house in Bintaro. can't believe it was the last time we spent the new year together. I miss you, nek. 

but of course all the moments I had will always be remembered.

my last day in 2012? in the morning I spent it with my friends, doing senam choreography for gathering, in the afternoon I spent quality time with my bf at my house, and now, I spent this last night of 2012 alone in my beloved room. wonderful <3

my wish for 2013?

well first of all of course I want my score for this 5th semester is good. and all subjects are passed. amen.

thank God, thank you 2012.

Dongeng Malam

this is the poster of my major's theater performance on my faculty biggest event, Petang Kreatif 2012.

the story is about an old man named Mr Brown who owns a doll shop. the dolls consist of Peter Pan, Red Riding Hood, Nutcracker, dwarf, etc. the dolls can actually move, talk, and have feeling like human. they like to play around the shop and really love Mr Brown whom they already considered as their own dad.

Then the problem comes. Mr Brown have debt with Mr Penny. Mr Brown must pay 100 gold within 3 days. If not, the shop will become Mr Penny's.

so, that was the first scene anyway

and, we got the 3rd place, by the way.

yeaaaaay! congrats my beloved junior! you rock!

p.s:

anyway, besides winning the 3rd place, Mr Brown also won the best actor nomination.

we were nominated in the best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best director, and best stage. my favorite character is Smiley (Peter Pan), and he got nominated as the best supporting actor. too bad he didn't win. too bad we didn't win all the category. but still, you guys did really great!

Travel Story: Solo-Pacitan (part3)

THE THIRD/LAST DAY AT SOLO!

that was the time that I really tired and I felt like I don't have any strength to sit in the bust for another 14 hours
but, what can I do anyway? booking airplane ticket? hahahaha
so yeah I was just trying to enjoy our last day
I didn't take much photo that day, yeah because I'm too tired, so were my friends.
we went to buy oleh-oleh
then we went to Keraton, which is not so good in my opinion

then we went to take werkudara, which is a tourism bus with 2 floor

to be honest it's so boring

it took 2 hours to ride all around Solo

I think we can make that 2 hours with something more fun

but yeah it's ok for experience

and then we have lunch which is not so good either

buuuut at the end, it was raining hard, while we must go home soon because our bus is in 6pm. and it was already 3pm.

so we rode the motorcycle with raincoat, which I think really fun (the most fun thing we did that day is maen ujan)

we were not forget to buy some food khas Solo for oleh-oleh

then..............

it's time to go home and say goodbye to Riri's family who we already considered as our family in Solo. thank you so much tante, om, and mbak :)

it was a great 4 days experience with all the friends

Travel Story: Solo-Pacitan (part2)

THE SECOND DAY IN SOLO!!!
we went to pacitan actually, we're not in Solo that day.
so basically Pacitan is 3,5 hours away from Solo.
the road is kinda..........made me feel sick.
we went there with Riri's family, her mom, her dad, and her sis. Thank you so much for accompanied us :')
we went to Goa Gong and Pantai Klayar!
Goa Gong is in a mountain which really quiet. meanwhile Pantai Klayar is behind the mountain
so here I go with Goa Gong first

some tips if you want to go here.

Inside Goa Gong is really really hot. so make sure you only wear a loose shirt

also there will be some local people who offer flashlights, saying that inside the cave is really dark. it's not true, so don't be fool. you don't need flashlight there. also some people say about to become your tour guide. you actually don't need that because there is already a track, you won't be lost.

however, the cave is really beautiful :)

it was such an experience.

now, it's time to pantai Klayar

the beach is still really clear.

it is reallyyyyyyyy good!!!

thank God when I went there, the sun is not so bright, so I'm not tanned so much.

unfortunately the wave is really big so we cannot swim there

but playing there is enough you know

at the end of the day, riri and her sister bought us Mie Jawa which is really delicious

too bad it was already late at night so we were a bit tired to finish it all
